Pam Hoyle

Like many, Pam is passionate about Netball and has been a familiar face around Netball in Yorkshire for many years.  She brings to the Board a great wealth of experience.

A founder and player with Shipley Swifts Netball Club in Bradford, where she became an umpire, coach and volunteer. A club she is still actively involved in today. She supported the growth and development of the West Yorkshire County League before moving onto undertaking several roles over the years on both the West Yorkshire County Committee and then the Yorkshire Regional Board, which included being Chair for both organisations.

She was proud to be Team Manager of the initial Super League Club, Leeds Carnegie, the early forerunners of today’s NSL, and then to have the honour to become the Team Manager for the Netball Ireland ‘Open’ Squad playing in International competition   Now she is happy to team manage her club 1st team in the Yorkshire Regional League.

Professionally, starting her career as a PE teacher, she had the opportunity to become the first ever England Netball, Regional Netball Development Officer (Yorkshire), working with both volunteers and the wider sporting sector across the region. This ignited her passion for developing sport across the region and the country.  New opportunities followed including being the Sport Development Officer for Young People (Leeds) and then the Partnership Development Manager (School Sport) in Bradford.

Pam’s continued commitment and dedication to volunteering saw her being awarded Honorary Life Membership of England Netball.  Something she is justly proud of.

Never one to stop volunteering in Netball, she now looks forward to the next challenge and is excited to bring all her experiences into her new role in supporting clubs across the region.
