Sheffield Steel, continue their preparations for the England Netball Premier League 3 play‑offs in May after being crowned Yorkshire Premier League Champions for the 2025 to 2026 season
As part of their preparation, the squad took part in a high‑quality practice match on Saturday 18 April, facing a Yorkshire Premier All Stars team. The All Stars squad was made up of players from clubs across the Yorkshire Premier Division and were coached on the day by Kelly Skiller (Sheffield Stormers).
The game provided a competitive and challenging test, with the Premier All Stars securing a 52–43 win. The fixture offered Sheffield Steel the opportunity to test combinations and game strategies at intensity ahead of the play‑off weekend.
Following the match Alex Styan, the Steel Head Coach thanked the players and clubs from across the division for their support, describing the fixture as an invaluable opportunity for the coaching team, the club and the players as preparations continue for the national play‑offs.
Yorkshire Netball wishes both Sheffield Steel and Leeds Athletic the very best of luck as they head into the Premier League 3 play‑offs, where they will be competing to secure one of the three places available for the 2026 to 2027 competition.
