Under 16 Regional League 2025 to 2026 season round-up

The 2025 to 2026 Under 16 Regional League has now come to a close, following a highly competitive and high‑quality season of Netball across the region.

The league was made up of 8 clubs, all of whom qualified through the pre‑season tournament and was played across 14 rounds. Throughout the season, clubs, players and coaches consistently demonstrated the strength and depth of Under 16 Netball within the region.

There was some excellent Netball on display across all clubs. Players and squads showed clear development as the season progressed, stepping up to showcase their skills at regional level. Many teams and individuals grew noticeably over the course of the season, reflecting the commitment and effort being made across clubs.

👉 Under 16s

The league produced our winner and runner‑up, who will now go on to represent the region at the England Netball National Club Finals, being held in Nottingham on 2 and 3 May.

A special congratulations goes to Leeds Athletic NC, who completed the season unbeaten, demonstrating consistency, quality and resilience across all 14 rounds.

Congratulations also to Sheffield Steel NC for securing the runner‑up position after a strongly contested campaign.

Finally, thank you to all the coaches, volunteers and match‑day officials whose time, commitment and support enable the Under 16 Regional League competition to take place. Their contribution is vital in providing high‑quality competitive opportunities and positive development environments for players across the region.

Well done to all teams involved in what has been a demanding and rewarding season, and best of luck to Leeds Athletic and Sheffield Steel as they prepare for the National Club Finals. We wish both clubs every success as they continue to represent and showcase Netball within our region.
