Celebrating 100 Years of Netball: Nominations now open for the 2026 Centenary ONE Awards

This is your chance to recognise the ONEs who make a real difference on and off the court.

In 2026, England Netball celebrates 100 years of shaping the sport and creating opportunities for women and girls. To mark this milestone, nominations are now open for a special centenary edition of the National ONE Awards.

From coaches and officials to volunteers, teachers and community leaders, the ONE Awards celebrate the dedication, passion and pride that keep the game thriving across the country.

Delivered by Yorkshire Netball and England Netball, the ONE Awards spotlight the amazing people who make Netball happen, through varying roles like:

  • officiating
  • coaching
  • administration
  • supporting school Netball activity
  • clubs and local leagues
  • helping drive inclusion and reaching new audiences in Netball.

This year, the nominations process is simpler than ever, with four main categories:

  • Special Recognition Award – recognises long-term impact, legacy and meaningful influence on the sport
  • Rising Star Award – recognises emerging leaders making consistent, selfless contributions
  • Outstanding Contribution Award – recognises individuals who go significantly above expectations

How it works

Nominations are now open and close on Thursday 30 April 2026.

All nominees will be invited to the Yorkshire Netball regional ONE Awards event at York Sports Club on 28 June 2026.

Following this, winners from each category will be reviewed by a national panel and invited to attend the national ONE Awards event in autumn 2026.

Nominees must be individual members of England Netball for all awards, except the Inclusion Award.

Nominees for the Young Volunteer or Teacher Award must be volunteering for an educational environment or organisation that is a member of England Netball or have individual membership to England Netball.

Make your nomination count

Netball simply wouldn’t exist without the time, energy and talent of incredible people across the region. This is your chance to recognise the ONEs who make a real difference on and off the court.

Whether it’s someone who goes the extra mile, inspires others, or creates a welcoming and inclusive environment, now is the time to say thank you.
